5Check bushing surfaces (a) of drive shaft for pitting or wearIf shaft is pitted or wornreplace shaft and corresponding bushing6Replace drive shaft, if any of the following exist: aSplines are twisted or wornbOil seal surface (b) is deeply grooved and is allowing water to enter gear housing
