Starter Solenoid Test Test starter solenoid as follows: 1Disconnect all leads from solenoid terminals 2Using an ohmmeter (R scale)connect leads between solenoid terminals and 2, as shown 3Connect 12-volt suply between solenoid terminals and 4, as shownSolenoid should click and meter should read zero ohms4If meter does not read zero ohms (full continuity)replace solenoid
