3Lubricate bushings in drive end cap and lower end cap with drop of SAE 10W oilDO NOT overlubricate4If removedreinstall parts on armature shaftUse new locknut and tighten securely on end of shaft 6Place springs and brushes into brush holdersSpread brushes and hold in place with strip of spring steel as shown7Push in on drive end of shaft so that commutator will extend out of starter frame
