Trigger Test 1Disconnect trigger leads (brownyellow and brown white) from switch box2Use an ohmmeter and perform the following testResistance (Ohms) 650-850

1Remove bolts and lift rewind starter assembly from engineRefer to Section for "Rewind Starter Removal"
NOTE: Above resistance reading is for cold engine (room temperature)Resistance will increase if engine is warm 3If meter reading is other than specifiedreplace trigger assemblyRefer to trigger assembly removal and installation (see "Index")Ignition Coil Test IMPORTANT: Ohmmeter tests can detect only certain faults in the ignition colisReplace ignition coil, if ohmmeter readings (listed in chart, following) are not as specifiedIf coil tests OK, and coil is still suspected of being faulty, use Quicksilver Multi-MeterOVA Tester (91-99750), or voltmeter (capable of measuror higher), and Quicksilver Direct ing 400 volts Voltage Adaptor (91-89045) to thoroughly check coil1Disconnect wire(s) from coil terminal(s) 2Remove the spark plug (hi-tension) lead from coil tower3Use an ohmmeter and perform the following testsResistance (Ohms)
