9Inspect bearing (a)If bearing does NOT roll freely or is rusted, remove (and replace) bearing Pull bearing from housing using suitable puller

10Remove (and discard) seal (a) from housing using punch and hammer, as shown 8Inspect surface of water pump housing (a) that contacts impellerRemove (and replace) if worn To remove, pull housing from shaft
