NOTE: For ease of installationglue the washer to the pin ion gear, using 3M Adhesive (9225234), or Quicksilver Bellows Adhesive (9286166), or equivalent2Apply Loctite Type 271 (9232609 1) to the threads of the pinion gear nut and assemble the pinion gear nut into the MR sial of Ihe pinion nut adaptorInstall the drive shaft tapered roller bearing cup then the retainer NOTE: Install the pinion gear nut with the flat side of Ihe nut away from the pinion gear34Place the pinion gear (with the washer glued to it) into the gear housingInsert the drive shaft into the gear housing drive shaft boreIt may be necessary to rolate the drive shaft to engage the drive shaft splines into the pinion gear splinesInsert the pinion nut adaptor (with the nut assembled to it) into the gear housingIt may be necessary to raise the drive shaft slightly to clear the toolStart the pinion nut onto the drive shaft threads by tating the drive shaft until the nut is snug6
