Drive ShaftBearing Preload Tool REMOVAL
Install the drive shaft tapered roller bearing cup, then the retainer
CAUTION
Before loosening the top nut allen screws of the bear-
ing preload toolscrew the bottom nut up as close as possible to the top nut12Screw the bottom nut of the bearing preload tool until it is as close as possible to top nut Loosen the alien screws in the top nutRemove all components including the water pump face plate
a Tapered Roller Bearing Cup Drive Shaft Retainer
Torque the retainer to 100 lbft(135.5 Nm)
a Top Nul (with allen screws)
bBottom Nut
