2 Install the shift shaft assembly into the gear housing as shownEngage the splined end of the shift shaft with the shift crankVerify O-rings are posilioned properly and lubricated with Special Lubricant 101 Secure shift shaft bushing with screwsTorque screws to 60 lbin(6.8 N.m)

INSTALLATION 1To allow for the engagement of the shift spool with the shift crank, tilt the propeller end of the propeller shaft assembly to the left (port) side of gear housing and rotate the shift shaft from reverse to neutral while installing shaft
