5Install trim rod removal tool and pull trim rod from cylinder Trim Rod End Cap Seal
1Inspect trim cap end seal and replace if damaged or if seal does not keep trim rod clean
a Seal (Remove as shown)

Install new seal with seal lip up

TRIM ROD INSTALLATION IMPORTANT: Components must be free of dirt and lintAny debris in the system can cause system to malfunctionNOTE: Install trim rod with check valve in the port (left) cylinder1Apply Quicksilver Power Trim and Steering Fluid on all O-rings and seals before installation2Install trim rods and capsUse installation tool (91 -44487A 1) or spanner wrench (91-7495 1) to tighten caps securely
