THROTILE SHAFT COMPONENT REMOVAL 1Bend tab washer away from nutRemove nut, tab washer, spacer, throttle lever and spring from throttle shaft Carburetor Cleaning and Inspection
1Place carburetor body, fuel bowl and metal parts in carbu retor cleaning solution for short period of time to remove all dirt, gum and varnish which has accumulated
2Remove screw and throttle link
A CAUTION
DO NOT place floats, inlet needles, idle screw adjusting caps, any rubber or plastic parts into car buretor cleaning solutionIf adjusting caps must be removed and reinstalledrefer toIdle Circuit Adjustments" preceding2After soaking carburetor parts, rinse thoroughly with water, then solventBlow parts dry with compressed airBe sure to blow thru all passages, orifices and nozzles351712

Check for float deterioration (saturation)
4Examine inlet needle and seat for wearIf worn, replace with new inlet needle and seat assembly
