Valve Clearance Adjustment The valve clearance must be adjusted when the engine in cool to the touchAdjust the valve clearance when the corresponding piston is at the Top Dead Center (TDC) on compression stroke
POSITION OF DRIVEN GEAR WHEN CHECKING VALVE CLEARANCE FOR NO2 (BOTTOM) CYLINDER 1Position the No2 piston (bottom) at Top Dead Center (TDC) on the compression stroke2Rotate the driven gear clockwise 180 so the "2" mark on the driven gear aligns with cylinder head mark
Remove cylinder head cover
