When disassembling rewind starter, SAFETY GLASSES must be worn, in case spring should uncoil
CAUTION
Starter sheave must be firmly held against spring tension to prevent spring from unwinding1Pull starter rope until rope is fully unwound from sheaveHold sheave in this position, complete steps and 32Lift end of rope from knot recess and untie or cut off knotPull remaining rope from starter sheave
