ACAUTION
Eye protection must be worn while installing piston rings2Install new pi ston rings and align ring end gaps with locating pins (a) piston
During reassemblylubricate parts with Quicksilver 2Cycte Outboard Oi whenever "light oilis spec ified Quicksitver part numbers of lu bricants, sealers and locking compounds are listed und erQuicksilver Lubricants and Service Aids," preceding torque wrench is essen tial fo correct reassemb ly of powerhead DO NOT attempt to reasse mble powerhead without using torque wrenchAttaching bolts for covers and housings MU ST BE torqued by lightening bolls in progressive steps (following specif ied torque sequence) until specified torque is reac hed Powerhead torques are li sted under ''To rque Speci fi cations,preceding
