Gear Housing Removal To prevent accidental engine starting, remove (and isolate) spark plug leads from spark plugs before removing gear housing1Remove (and isolate) spark plug leads from spark plugs
5Remove nut and washer in trim tab cavity
2Shill into NEUTRAL3Disconnect shift shaft by snapping retainer to lower clip and sliding to the left
aNul and Washer
Remove bolts securing gear case to drive shaft housing
