Reassembly 1Lubricate helix th reads and drive end cap bush ing with SAE 10W oil2Install the pinion, springand pi nion stopper onto starter shaft3Place circ lip into groove on shaft4Press the pinion stopper over the ci rclip_ IMPORTANT: Install new circlip for reassembly
5Construct brush retainer tool as shown

NOTE: Make sure the circlip fits tightly into pinion stopper
