3Place the pinion gear and washer into the gear housing4Insert the pinion nut adapter (with the nut) into the gear housing5Insert the drive shaft into the gear housing drive shaft boreIt may be necessary to rotate the drive shaft to engage the drive shaft splines into the pinion gear splines6Start the pinion nut onto the drive shaft threads by rotating the drive shaft until the nut is snug 7Install the drive shaft tapered roller bearing cupApply 2-4-C wITeflon to the retainer threads and install the retainer
