Removal, Disassembly, Cleaning and Inspection Standard Rotation (Ratcheting and Non-Ratcheting) REMOVAL
5Mark gear housing and trim tab so that trim ab can be reinstalled in the same positionRemove plastic cap at rear edge of drive shaft housingWhile holding trim tab securely, unthread bolt that secures trim tab and remove trim tab from gear housing6Once trim tab is removed, remove bolt from inside of trim tab cavity
Disconnect high tension leads from spark plugs and remove spark plugs from engine before removing gear housing from drive shaft housing1Disconnect high tension leads from spark plugs and remove spark plugs from engine2Shift engine into neutral position3Tilt engine to full up position and engage tilt lock lever4Bend tabs of propeller tab washer away from thrust hub (rear), then remove propeller locknut, tab washer, thrust hub (rear), propeller and thrust hub (forward) from propeller shaft51866 52375Bolt (Secures Trim Tab)Bolt (Inside Trim Tab Cavity)RibsAlign Carefully with Trim Tab while Securing Tab
