11Install screw (A) securing upper gear housing to lower gear housing Apply sealant (Special Tool NoFT-8983) under head of screwTorque to 120 lbin (13.7 Nm) 12Install lower shift rod Apply grease to the shift rod seal and to the tip of shift rod Push rod (8) through seal and thread all the way into shift cam
13Install propeller shaft bearing cage Apply grease to bearing cage seal and lips of propeller shaft sealSlide bearing cage assembly on propeller shaft and position on lower gear housi ng Secure with two screws (A) Torque to 70 lbin (7.8 Nm)
