Install control cables to cable drum, as follows: aInsert ball end of No.1 cable (cable extends to heel of foot pedal) into top socket (a) on drum and wrap the cable clockwise around drumas shownbInsert ball end of No.2 cable into socket (b) on bottom of drum and wrap the cable counterclockwise around drum
NOTE: Angle of f06Jt pedal in retation to direction of motor can be changed by lifting up cable drum and turning vertical shaft to position motor in desired direction vsangle of foot pedalNormal setting is when foot pedal stops and motor is positioned to propel boat forwardRoute motor wires thru cable drum Position motor in desired direction vsdesired angle of foot pedal, then place cable drum (b) on splined end of upper bearing retainer Place cable retainer (a) over cable ends and secure with screwReassemble control housing and reconnect control housing wires as shown (see "Outline" sheet)aCable DrumCable Retainer
