SECTIONLOWER UNIT PartPropeller PROPELLER REMOVAL
1Disconnect battery leads from battery While holding propeller (to keep it from rotating)remove propeller retainer from propeller shaft(Figure 1)

PROPELLER DRIVE PIN REMOVAL
If requiredremove propeller drive pin as follows:
1Support propeller shaft on piece of wood (Figure 2) This will protect propeller shaft seals and bearing2Using punch and hammer drive out propeller drive pin from propeller shaft
PROPELLER DRIVE PIN INSTALLATION
Install propeller drive pin as follows:

1Support propeller drive shaft on piece of wood2Install pin into propeller shaft so that pin is ce ntered in shaft
IMPORTANT: Solid drive pin (A-17-70733) should be used with cushion hUb(Figure 3) Older style hollow drive pin (A-17-2S810) is too long, but could be used If cut down to 78" (22mm)

NOTE: If propeller drive pin is broken, it may be necessary to remove lubricant fill plug and insert rod or punch into fill hole to lock internal drive hubThis will stop propeller shaft from turning while propeller retainer is being removed
