MAINTENANCE Angle of Foot Pedal"RC" Model Angle of foot pedal in relation to direction of motor can be changed by disassembling control housing and lifting up cable drum or gear rack and turning vertical shaft to position motor in desired direction vsangle of foot pedalNormal setting is when foot pedal is centered between pedal stops and motor is positioned to propel boat forward Refer to "RC" Model, Section 4, for disassembly and reassembly of control housing (see "Index ")
Periodic Inspection
Conduct periodic, systematic inspection to uncover and correct problem before it can cause inconvenience or mechanical failureInspection interval should be based on frequency and type of use to which the motor is subjectedUnder severe conditions, the interval should be shortenedInspection includes: 1Clean entire motor thoroughly2Check for loose, damaged and or missing partsTighten or replace as required3Perform lubrication as instructed previously4Inspect the finish for damaged or corroded areasClean these areas and apply matching paint (Quicksilver Spray Paints) See your Authorized Dealer
