Throttle Cable Installation and Adjustment to Outboard 1Shift remote control into neutral2Secure throttle cable to throttle lever peg as shown 3Hold outboard throttle lever against idle stopAdjust cable barrel so that there will be slight preload of throttle lever against the idle stopLock cable barrels in place with barrel retainer, as shown 4Proper preload on throttle cable can be checked by placing piece of paper between idle stop screw and idle stopPreload is correct when the paper can be removed without tearing but has some drag on itIf necessary, readjust cable barrel
