Dual Outboard Ride-Guide Attachment Installing Steering Cable to Outboard with Externally Mounted TrimShock Cylinders
1Lubricate inside of outboard tilt tube (that will have steering cable installed to it) with 2-4-C Marine LubricantInsert steering cable and thru tilt tube, then secure steering cable to tilt tube with steering cable attaching nutTorque nut to 35 lbft(47 Nm) 2Install locking sleeve (supplied with steering cable) over steering cable attaching nut, and secure with cotter pin Spread ends of cotter pin
INSTALLING COUPLER and STEERING LINK ROD (MODELS WITH PIECE STEERING ARMBRACKET)

AWARNING
Both steering eyes must be threaded into coupler 34 in(19mm) minimumThread length of steering eye is in(76mm), so exposed thread must not extend out of coupler more than 2-14 in(S7mm)Failure to adhere to this requirement could result in steering system failure1Lubricate steering eye threads, pivot bolts and ball joints with 2-4-C Marine LubricantAssemble to both outboard steering armsIMPORTANT: With parts installed and before tightening steering pivot bolts, check outboard alignmentDistance between pivot bolt centers and distance between propeller shaft centers must be equal for proper steeringIf adjustment is necessary, remove pivot screw from engine steering arm, then turn steering eye in or out to correct alignmentBoth steering eyes must be threaded into coupling 34 in(19mm) dimension [the exposed steering eye threads must not extend out of coupler more than 2-14 in(S7mm)]
