2Route wiring harness (a) thru starboard transom bracketNOTE: Be careful not to damage manual release valve (b) when reinstalling starboard transom bracketApply Loctite Grade "Au on threads of bolts (c)Reinstall starboard transom bracketFasten transom bracket to trim assembly using bolts (c) and lockwashersTorque (6) bolts to 30 lbft(40.7 Nm)IMPORTANT: Do not use an impact driver when tightening the engine mounting boltsApply marine sealer to shanks of engine mounting bolts (not threads) and secure starboard transom bracket to boat transom with bolts, flat washers and locknuts, as shown Be sure that installation is water-tightInstall nut (d); tighten nut securelyRemove "C" clampEngine equipped with thru-tilt tube steering Tighten steering cable retaining nut securely onto tilt tube (e) 3Use 12 volt battery to extend end of tilt ram (a) up to align with retaining pin hole (b) as follows: Using set of battery jumper cables, connect trim motor wires to battery [blue wire to positive (+) terminal and black wire to negative (-) terminal] If tilt ram extends too far, retract ram by connecting trim motor wires to battery [green wire to positive (+) terminal and black wire to negative (-) terminal] Disconnect battery jumper cables
