Striker Plates Replacement Visually inspect striker platesIf plate(s) are excessively worn, install new plate(s) as follows: Install striker plate (a) (one on each side of swivel bracket) with nut and lockwasherTorque nut to 80 lbin(9.0 Nm)

Checking Fluid Level and Filling
IMPORTANT: This trim system is pressurizedRemove fill screw (b) only when engine is trimmed to the full "up" positionRetighten fill screw securely before trimming engine downTrim engine to full "up" positionEngage tilt lock lever (a) Trim system fluid can only be checked when engine is in this position Slowly remove fill screw (b) and check fluid levelFluid level should be visible in fill tubeIf necessary, add Quicksilver Power TrimSteering Fluid or; Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) Type F, FA or Dexron II to Power Trim SystemReinstall fill screw; tighten screw securely
