Test Gauge Removal (As Tested at Trim Cylinder) ACAUTION
Turn manual release valve full in (clockwise) before removing hoses or caps1Remove test gauge and capsReinstall hydraulic hoses to both trim cylindersHoses must be installed in position shown, or damage will occur by interference when outboard is in full "Down" position2Turn manual release valve full out (counterclockwise) 3Operate trim system and check for leaks at all connections4Fill pump with oilRefer to "Filling and Bleeding the Power Trim System," preceding
Testing Solenoid, Fuse, and Trim Pump Motor
Solenoid Test
AWARNING
DO NOT perform this test near flammables (or explosives), as spark may occur when making connections1Disconnect all wires from solenoid terminals2Use an Ohmmeter (Rx1 scale) and connect meter leads between solenoid terminals and 23Connect 12-volt supply between solenoid terminals and 4Solenoid should click and meter should read zero ohms (full continuity) 4If meter does not read zero ohms (full continuity), replace solenoid
