Manual Tilt System Removal ACAUTION
Remove cowling and remove all spark plug leads from spark plugs to prevent accidental starting while servicing outboard
3Use suitable tool to remove (DRIVE DOWN) upper dowel pinRetain dowel pin
AWARNING
Service or installation of the tilt system may result in loss of pressure in the shock cylinderIf the outboard is not in the full down position, such loss of pressure will cause the engine to fall to the full down position with potential for pinching, crushing or causing personal injuryTo avoid such injury support outboard in the up position using tilt lock lever
