NOTE: It is not necessary to disassemble carburetor for cleaning beyond this pointExamine throttle shaft for wear and inspect throttle shutter plateIf removal of throttle shaft andor throttle plate is necessary, follow next stepIf necessary, remove screws which secure throttle shutter plate to throttle shaftRemove shutter plate from throttle shaft, then pull throttle shaft out of carburetorIMPORTANT: Make certain that all parts are kept clean during reassembly of carburetor Carburetor Reassembly
I nstall throttle return spring (a) on throttle shaft
Carburetor Cleaning and Inspection
1Place carburetor body, fuel bowl and metal parts in carburetor cleaning solution for short period of time to remove all dirt, gum and varnish which may have accumulated
