Starter Motor Disassembly Remove thru bolts (a) Tap commutator end cap (b) to loosen and remove from starter frameNOTE: Be careful not to lose brush springs
Using 58 insocket and hammer, tap retainer (a) down off of snap ring
Remove brushes (a) as necessaryUsing pliers, remove snap ring (b)
