Propeller Installation AWARNING
BEFORE attempting to remove or install the propeller, remove spark plug leads from spark plugs to prevent engine from starting accidentallyTo prevent the propeller from rotating and to protect the hands, place flat block of wood between the anti-cavitation plate and the propeller when removing or installing the propeller shaft nut1To aid in future removal of the propeller, liberally coat the propeller shaft spline (a) with one of the following Quicksilver lubricants:Special Lubricant 1012-4-C Marine LubricantAnti-Corrosion Grease Place thrust hub (b) onto propeller shaftPlace Quicksilver Propeller on propeller shaftPlace tab washer (c) on prop shaftThread propeller nut (d) on propeller shaft and tighten [minimum of 55 ft Ibs(7.6mkg) torque] Bend tab of tab washer (c) down on propeller nut to secure nut
