2Install the shift shaft assembly into the gear housing as shownEngage the splined end of the shift shaft with the shift crankVerify O-ring is positioned properly on bushing and lubricated with 2-4-C with TeflonSecure shift shaft bushing with four screwsTorque screws and speedometer fitting to specification3Install rubber washer onto shift shaft and slide washer down until it just touches the oil seal in the bushing
