Cylinder Bore
MEASURING CYLINDER BORE 1Measure the cylinder bore diameter at three locations in both and axis2If the cylinder bore is beyond the standard limits listed in the tables below, it will be necessary to re-bore the cylinder to accept the oversize piston
NOTE: Measure at three locations (L1L2and L3in both and axis (D1-6 )L1 =0.8 in(20 mm) L2 =1.6 in(40 mm) L3 =2.4 in(60 mm)
1Inspect: aWater jacket for mineral depositscorrosion, clean if necessarybInner surface for score marks, repair if necessary2Measure bore diameter with cylinder gauge, re-bore or replace if necessary
