General Information
B efore proce eding with powerhe ad re assembly, be sure that all parts to be reused have be en carefully cle aned and thoroughly inspected, as outlined in "Cle aning and Inspection "P arts, which have not be en properly cle aned (or which are questionable), can severely damage an otherwise perfectly good powerhe ad within few minutes of operationAll new powerhe ad gaskets must be installed during assemblyDuring re assembly, lubricate parts with uicksilver 2-C ycle utboard il whenever 2-cycle oil is specified, and uicksilver 2-4-C Marine Lubricant whenever gre ase is specified
CAUTION
Any GREASE used for bearings INSIDE the powerhead MUST BE gasoline solubleUse only Quicksilver Needle Bearing Assembly LubricantDO NOT use 2-4-C Marine Lubricant, or other lubricants inside the powerhead, or damage may occurA torque wrench is essential for correct re assembly of powerhe adDo not attempt to re assemble powerhe ad without using torque wrencha ed Pins etaining Washer Tab Washer BoltTorque to 60 lbin(6.8 m) 52896
