PLACING TILT PIN IN UPPER HOLES CAN: 1Lift the bow out of the water2G enerally incre ase top spe ed3Incre ase cle arance over submerged objects or shallow bottom4Incre ase ste ering torque or pull to the left at normal installation height (with the normal right hand rotation propeller)5In excess, cause boat "porpoising "(bouncing) or propeller ventilation MODELS WITHOUT POWER TRIM perate your boat at normal cruising spe ed trimmed to desired position by installing the "tilt pin "in the desired tilt pin holeTurn your boat left and right and note the direction the boat turns more asilyIf adjustment is necessary, loosen trim tab bolt and make small adjustments at timeIf the boat turns more asily to the left, move the trailing edge of trim tab to the leftIf the boat turns more asily to the right move the trailing edge of trim tab to the rightR etighten bolt and retest
