Installing Outboard to Boat Transom Models Without Transom Bracket Thumb Screws
Use 1732 inch (13.5mm) diameter drill bit and drill two mounting holes for the upper set of mounting bolts and two holes for the lower set of mounting bolts
NOTE: If using "Transom Drilling Fixture91-98234A2), use holes (a) when drilling outboard mounting holes
aUse These Drilling Holesenterline of Transom
aMounting Bolts (4)lat Washers (4)Locknuts (4)
NOTE: some boats because of transom interference, it may be necessary to install the ste ering cable before fastening the outboard to the transom
WARNING
DO NOT, under any circumstances, allow upper outboard mounting bolts to be closer than inch (25.4mm) to top of boat transomUpper mounting bolts must never be installed thru shims
