Driveshaft Housing Disassembly
Servicing components such as tiller handle, driveshaft housing, and swivel bracket will usually require powerhead removalRefer to powerhead section and gear housing section for removal instructionsThe transom bracket, lower mount bracket, swivel bracket and lower engine mounts can be serviced without powerheadgear housing removalHowever, OUTBOARD MUST BE SUPPORTED BEFORE SERVICING COMPONENTS
IMPORTANT: All gaskets should be replaced when removing powerhead andor disassembling driveshaft housingCorresponding gasket mating surfaces should be cleaned of any gasket material before installing new gaskets
