2Insert steering cable end thru outboard tilt tube and secure steering cable to tilt tube with steering cable attaching nut (b), as shownTorque nut to 35 lbft(47 .5 Nm)o
IMPORTANT: Steering cable must be correct lengthSharp bends on too-short of cable result in "kinks;" too-long of cable require unnecessary bends andor loopsBoth conditions place extra stress on the cableInstall steering mount and steering wheel in accordance with installation instructions that accompany each
