MREASSEMBLING CYLINDER 1Apply bead of sealant (Special Tool NoT-8983) to entire parting line surfaceNOTE: Make sure that sealant reaches lower main seal case and cylinder leg exhaust gasket
APPLY SEALANT
IMPORTANT Do not allow excess sealant to contact bearings or to overflow into crankcaseIMPORTANT Sealant must be freshAssemble crankcase cover to cylinder within minutes after application to ensure effectivenessInstall two locating pins using punch (Special Tool NoT-8919) to position cover on cylinder block
