5Take measurements again at 90 degrees from first set NOTE: The taper, or difference between the largest and the smallest measurement, must not be more than 0.002 in(0.05 mm) Replace cylinder block if power head wear is more than 0.002 in(0.005 mm) or if cylinder is out of round

6If cylinder block wear is within tolerance, but Slightly scored, hone cylinder with fine stone If cylinder walls are glazed, hone cylinder with medium stone, followed by fine stoneCheck crankshaft bearings and seals Inspect upper (A) and lower (8) bearings for rust, fractures or wearReplace if necessaryInspect bearing seals (C) for nicks, tears or wearReplace if necessary
