3 Install rotor in cover Tie knot in one end of starter rope and thread rope through opening in rotorLubricate bore of rotor (A) with light coat of grease (Special Tool NoT-2961)Install bearing (8) in bore of rotorInstall rotor and rope in cover, aligning hooked end of starter (C) spring with slot in rotor (0)Place loose end of starter rope in slot (E) on outer edge of rotorRewind starter by turning rotor counterclockwise three full turnsThread starter rope through guide hole in starter coverTie large slip knot in rope on outside of starter coverCheck tension of rewind spring by pulling starter rope out as far as it will goTurn rotor counterclockwise another 18 to 38 of turn
