HYDRASTEER DESCRIPTION
The Hydrasteer system au toma tically position the rudder inlO the passing flow of water (and air) to produce torque that counterbalances propeller (sleering) torque, thus reducing sleering effo rtremove lockbar (or cable) ends from rudder arm djus rudder 10 desired angle by turnillg lockbar (or ca hl e) endsReinstalliockbar (or cabl e) nd 10 rudde arm and lighten jam nu ts3If is equipped wi th lockbars, make sure udder IS NOT allowed to mo ve after lockbars are installed Retest boal fo hand ling characteristics
MAINTENANCE
1Periodically check 10 be su re that the Uydrasteer cables and rudder are free to move smoothl yThis is easily checked by wi veling the engine by hand Hydrasteer linkage (mounted on engine sleeri ng arm) should pi VO BEfORE the sleering cable moves2Lubricate rudderrefer to "Lub ricationin Section ,
