5Instal starter spring and pinion gear AApply grease generously to both inside and outside of springSpecial Tool NoT 2961 BInstall arbor (tong shaft with groove) in spring
so groove catches spring end C
Place arbor with spring in spool shaftUne up notch of spring end with pin in lower bracket Apply grease lightly to groove and inner bore of pinion gearEReplace pinion spring in groove of pin ion gearFInstall pinion gear assembly on spool shaft with closed end of pinion spr ing through slot in bracket
