7Pull coil from lam inationsNote routing of spark plug lead wire for reference when installing new call8Remove sparkie cover and sparkie spring from end of lead wireFigure 11 9Pull spark plug lead wire through stator plate and remove coil assembly
, Connect analyzer large red lead to the secondary coil lead 2Connect analyzer red test lead to either primary co il terminal3Connect analyzer black test lead to remaining primary coil terminal4Make su re current control knob is onLa "and turn selector knob toCOIL POWER TEST" position 5Slowly turn current control knob clockwise until meter po inter shows 1.5 on theCOI POWER TEST" scale At th is timethe spark gap shou ld be firing stead ily6Return the curren control knob toLOand lurn selector knob to 'OFF' If spark gap was firing steadilythe coil is good Leave the tester connected and test the coil highspeed If spark gap was not firing steadily replace the call
