CAUTION
Angle wedge to avoid contact ith stator ring
1Remove nut securing lIywheel to crankshaftThread knock-oH nut (T 2909) on crankshaft until it bottoms on flywheelBack nut off two full turns Figure2
Pry up on flywheel ith wedge and sharply tap knockoff nut with 16 ozhammerFig ure 3
CAUTION
Do not strike nut ith excessive force as this
may damage bearings

3Remove knock-of1 nut and lift flywheel emergency starter collar from crankshaft
InspectionVisually inspect flywheel for cracks and breaks
