7Pull coil from laminationsNote routing of spark plug lead wire for reference when installing new call

8Aemove sparkle cover and sparkle spring from end of lead wireFigure 99Pull spark plug lead wire through stator plate and
remove coil assembly
Perform all tests to the coli on wooden or Insulated bench top to prevent leakage or shock hazards
1Connect analyzer large red lead to the secondary call lead
2Connect analyzer red test lead to either primary coillermlna l
3Connect analyzer black lest lead to remaining
primary coil terminal
4Make sure current control knob is onLO': and turn selector knob toCOIL POWER TEST" position
5Slowly turn current control knob clockwise until meter pointer shows 1.5 on the "COIL POWER
TEST" scaleThe spark gap should be tiring steadily
6Return the cu rrent control knob toLO" and turn
