TYPE II CARBURETOR numberThis number represents drill sizeCheck the orifice with the shank of the proper size drill to verify the proper orifice is usedThe local Otll dealer will be able to provide the correct size or ifice for the engine and carburetor being servicedMost parts that should be replaced during carburetor overhaul are included in overhaul kitsThese kits are available from your local marine dealerOne of these kits will contain matched fuel inlet needle and seatThis combination should be replaced each time the carburetor is disassembled as precaution against leakageASSEMBLING TYPE II CARBURETOR
Purchase of carburetor repair kit is almost must when servicing this unitAll parts required for complete rebuild, including the necessary gaskets, are contained
In the kit!V;ost repair kits contain more parts and gaskets than are needed because the kit may be used to service wide range of carburetor models1- Install the NEW inlet seat and gasket into the carburetor baseTake care to use the proper size screwdriver as precaution against damaging the inside surface of the the seatApply just drop of oil into the seat, to prevent the needle from sticking when it is installedInsert the inlet needle valve into the seat2- Install the NEW float and hinge pin from the repair kit with the tang of the float facing DOWNWARD toward the inside of the carburetor3- If the inlet nozzle was removed, install the nozzle into the center of the carburetor and secure it tightly with the proper size screwdriverExercise care not to burr the edges of the nozzleThe end of
