Repeat the "fitting" procedure for the other rod and capOnce the installation procedure appears satisfactory and all work has been completed, bend the bolt locking tabs upward to prevent the bolts from looseningCRANKCASE COVER INSTALLATION

First, check to be sure the mating surfaces of the crankcase cover and the cylinder block are cleanPay particular attention to the labyrinth seal grooves in the center main bear ing areaThe mating surfaces and the seal grooves MUST be free of any old sealing compound or other foreign materialCRITICAL WORDS The remainder of the cylinder block installation work should be performed WITHOUT interruptionDo not begin the work if break in the sequence is expected, coffee, lunch, whateverThe sealer will begin to set almost immediately, therefore, the crankcase cover installation, main bearing bolt installation and tightening, and the side bolt installation and tightening must move along rapidlyApply just small amount of 1000 Sealer into the groove in the cylinder block to hold the seal in placeInstall new "spaghetti" seal into the groove, if used
