FUEL SYSTEM FUEL COMPONENT SERVICING Installation Place fuel pump in position on crankcaseApply Nut Lock to mounting screwsTighten screws to torque of 24 to 36 inlbs(2.8 to 4.0 Nm)Connect the fuel lift pump pulse hose to the crankcaseSecure with tie strapConnect the fuel hoses to the fuel filterSecure with Oetiker clampsSqueeze primer bulb to prime fuel systemHold pressure on bulb and check for fuel leaksConnect battery cablesRun outboard and check for fuel leaksRemove vapor separatorfuel pump from the mounting stud and slide vapor separator housing from the grooves of the isolator mounts
Installation
Installation is the reverse of removalPay close attention when performing the following additional tasksInstall all hoses and manifolds to original locations and secure with appropriate clampsSqueeze primer bulb to prime fuel systemHold pressure on bulb and observe for fuel leaksRun outboard and check for fuel leaks
