De-water valves are available to quickly drain water from the engine if the MFE outboard is temporarily submerged during deployment, or during an accidental rolloverIn these situations, de-water valves are available to quickly drain water from the engine so the outboard can be returned to useOnce an outboard has been submerged in fresh or salt water, it must be serviced within three (3) hours of recoveryImmediate service can minimize the corrosive affect that air has on the polished surfaces of the crankshaft, connecting rods, and internal powerhead bearings
Turn the drain valves forward to the DRAIN position
