GEARCASE REMOVAL
REMOVAL
WARNING
To prevent accidental starting while servicing, twist and remove all spark plug leadsDuring service, the outboard may drop unexpectedlyAvoid personal injury; always support the outboard's weight with suitable hoist or the tilt support bracket during serviceRemove the four engine mounting boltsDetach the powerhead with the lower coverRefer to POWERHEAD on p73Remove the spring
Remove the two boltsSeparate the gearcase assembly from the driveshaft housing
